Prince Harry has outright rejected allegations suggesting he came to blows with his uncle, Prince Andrew, due to comments made about his wife, Meghan Markle.
The insistence follows new claims stemming from Andrew Lownie’s book, “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” which was recently featured in the Daily Mail.
The book presents a narrative that depicts a furious confrontation over a decade ago, stating that Harry purportedly left Prince Andrew with a “bloody nose” after an intense exchange.
Lownie asserts that Harry lost his temper after Andrew seemingly made derogatory remarks about Meghan, referring to her as an “opportunist,” allegedly behind Harry’s back.
In response to these claims, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex firmly declared, “There has never been any physical altercation between Prince Harry and Prince Andrew, nor did the latter ever make the statements attributed to him regarding the Duchess of Sussex.” The representative branded the claims as “gross inaccuracies” which are “damaging and defamatory.”
Furthermore, Lownie’s excerpt suggested that “punches were thrown” during the supposed encounter, with Andrew reportedly ending the fracas sporting a bloodied nose.
The Sussexes’ team has since been approached for further comments regarding the unfolding story.
The ongoing tensions within the royal family are no secret, particularly since Harry and Meghan stepped back from their duties and relocated to the U.S. three years ago.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, has been largely disconnected from the royal clan for over five years, now raising their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, in sunny Montecito, California.
However, in a notable twist, Prince Harry has recently expressed a desire to mend fences with his estranged relatives.
He’s taken steps towards reconciliation by proposing to share his diary and schedules with family members, a move aimed at bolstering transparency within the family.
According to sources, “Harry is in a new mindset.
His focus is on ‘deconflicting’ with his loved ones.” This shift has prompted his team to create a “grid” of his upcoming activities for Buckingham Palace, which would also extend to Kensington Palace through formal communication channels.
In an interesting development, this outreach has also reached the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not been in contact with Harry and Meghan for years.
This olive branch comes after Harry’s aides traveled to London for discussions with the monarch’s communications secretary, signaling a potential thaw in relationships.
Nevertheless, King Charles remains “cautious and wary” about his son’s sudden overture to mend family ties, indicating a reluctance to fully embrace these recent attempts at reconciliation.
What’s next for the family dynamic remains uncertain as the world watches closely.
As the saga continues, the intricate relationships between these royal figures keep revealing new layers, drawing curiosity and speculation from
