In a dramatic turn of events, Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, is reportedly “fighting for his life” after being admitted to a hospital in the Philippines for urgent medical treatment.
At 81 years old, he has found himself in intensive care following a serious decline in his health.
Thomas Jr., his son, recounted the harrowing experience of rushing his father to the hospital.
“I took dad to a local hospital where doctors ran multiple scans and warned us that his life was hanging by a thread,” he revealed.
The urgency of the situation saw them whisked away in an ambulance with sirens blaring to a larger hospital in the heart of the city.
There, Thomas underwent vital emergency surgery.
In a heartfelt plea, Thomas Jr. has asked for thoughts and prayers for his father, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.
“All I hope for is that Meghan can find it in her heart to show my father some kindness during this challenging time.
He is literally fighting for his life,” he shared.
The relationship between Thomas and his daughter Meghan has been strained since 2018, and despite his numerous appeals for reconciliation, she has remained distant.
Earlier this year, he expressed enduring affection for Meghan, despite disapproval of some of her choices.
He stated that he will “always love” his daughter, even though their bond has been frayed.
Adding to the emotional turmoil, Thomas Markle has yet to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are ages six and four, respectively.
It’s a heartbreaking reality for a grandfather longing to be part of their lives.
Thomas Jr. shared that his father’s recent operation lasted about three hours, and sadly, he now faces yet another procedure to address a blood clot that has formed.
The family is understandably anxious about what lies ahead.
In a statement to the Daily Mail, Thomas’s daughter Samantha, aged 61, expressed her faith
