Prince Harry tries to kiss Stephen Colbert on the Late Show

On December 3rd, an unexpected guest graced the stage of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert—none other than Prince Harry himself.

The surprise appearance happened right when Colbert was humorously critiquing the abundance of royal-themed romance films churned out by Hallmark, setting the stage for a delightful twist.

At a point in his monologue where Stephen was musing over the peculiarity of randomly running into a prince, Harry made his entrance.

When the host queried what prompted his visit, the Duke of Sussex quipped, “Sorry.

I genuinely thought this was the audition for The Gingerbread Prince Saves Christmas in Nebraska.” This whimsical take not only broke the ice but also set the tone for the rest of the conversation.

The duo’s discussion quickly veered into the realm of Americans’ fascination with both Christmas films and royal lineage.

Harry cheekily noted, “I heard you ‘elected’ a king.” This remark drew playful boos from the audience, referencing Donald Trump, which added an unexpected twist to the royal visit.

Then Harry posed a rather intriguing question: “What’s a real prince got to do to get into a Hallmark movie?” This led Stephen to impishly ask if the prince had any connections in Hollywood, particularly to notable actresses.

Harry didn’t stop there—his determination was palpable.

“But I’ll do anything,” he added, humorously cataloging attempts to land a role, ranging from flying himself to auditions to settling dubious lawsuits with the White House.

The audience could hardly contain their laughter at the absurdity of it all.

Stephen, in jest, responded to Harry’s exaggerated claims saying, “I didn’t do any of those things.” Quick on the uptake, Harry playfully shot back, “Maybe that’s why you’re canceled,” leaving the audience in stitches at the light-hearted banter between the two.
