Prince Harry is pushing back against claims surrounding his recent meeting with King Charles III, asserting that some sources are attempting to thwart his efforts toward mending his familial ties.
He firmly denied having handed over a photograph of his wife, Meghan Markle, during their encounter.
Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex had a rare in-person meeting with King Charles at Clarence House, marking their first face-to-face interaction in over a year and a half.
The meeting, lasting about 53 minutes, was viewed as a critical step, albeit tentative, in rebuilding the strained relationship between Harry and his family since he stepped back from royal duties following his marriage.
After the meeting on September 10, reports surfaced suggesting that Harry found the atmosphere to be rather formal, and he humorously remarked that he felt more like an official guest than a family member.
However, Harry has dismissed these claims as “categorically false,” insisting they stem from malintent.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, it was clear that he found the misrepresentation troubling.
“The recent portrayal of the Duke’s perspective on the meeting is wholly inaccurate,” the spokesperson mentioned.
